This year we will be joining the District parade led by a band.
St George’s Day and Remembrance Sunday are the two annual national commemorative events that Scouts from all sections are asked to support. As such, we expect every Cubs to attend. Parents and Families are encouraged to join us as the service and promise renewal will not take long.

Following our success in the District competition our team of 3 cubs will be battling it out to win the county competition.

We will be manning a stall at this annual event to raise awareness of the Scout group and to raise some money for Group funds. We are looking for Cubs and their parents to assist with the stalls. Please let Akela know if you can help.

Lesley and her team are organising a night of food tasting and information at Hedge End Sainsburys. Please meet in the entrance between Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer promptly. Cubs will need a permission form which must be returned to Akela by June 8th.

Finally, I have some more details for this event. We will be leaving at 7:30 am for Longleat from the Locks Heath Shopping Centre car park. We cannot wait if you are late as we have an early appointment with the lions! We will return at 6 pm to the same place.
Uniforms should take the form of your scarf and green tshirt if possible. Do NOT take your sweatshirt. Please wear comfortable clothes appropriate for the weather. You will need to bring with you a rucksack with - water bottle, waterproof coat, sweater or similar, sun hat and sun cream. You will also need to bring a packed lunch in a named plastic bag. It is a long day so please pack a couple of snacks as well as a large lunch. An ice block will help if the weather is hot.
You may bring some money with you for an ice cream. No more than £3 please. You will need to carry this safely in a named wallet in your rucksack. You may bring a camera but this will be your responsibility.
We also need you to bring a pencil or two as we have some written activities to do.
There will be opportunities for you to refill your water bottle during the day.

To celebrate our last meeting of the year we would like to invite parents, siblings, extended families and friends to a Campfire and BBQ.
If you wish to attend, please complete the letter which will be sent home with your cub and return the slip and any monies to Akela by 29th June.
We will close the evening with an investiture and badge presentation.

We always like to give the cubs an opportunity to get together and run off some energy during the holidays. Everyone is welcome, bring your own picnic and games and, hopefully, enjoy the weather!
