Date: Tuesday 11th December
Our final meeting of the year will be a Christmas Party. We will be playing games throughout the evening, some arranged by the older Cubs as part of the Creative Challenge.
We would like to include some time to eat together and would ask you to provide a filled lunchbag for your child, so that they can join in. We have opted for this because of food allergies. Akela and Cougar will provide drinks for the children.
There will be a post box for any cards the Cubs wish to send to each other.
We will also be having 3 investitures and presenting any badges earned by the children. Those families involved in the investitures need to arrive for 7:30 p.m. Other parents wishing to watch the badge presentation would be welcome after 7:45 p.m. As this is an important ceremony for the Cubs we ask that all children wear smart uniform (trainers are allowed to play the games!)
Please let Akela know if you are unable to attend.
Venue: United Reform Church, Sarisbury Green
Date: Sunday 16th December
Time: 10:15 - 11:40 a.m.
Our final parade of the year will be at the URC church. Please wear smart uniform (no jeans) including smart shoes. There are some cubs who have not yet attended Church Parade. Although parade is not compulsory, the children promise to do their duty to God as part of their Investiture. Attending church parade is one way of fulfilling this part of the Promise. I realise that weekend activities often clash with parade and this is why we give you so much notice.
Please let Akela know if you are unable to attend.
Venue: Ferneham Hall, Fareham
Date: Wednesday 19th December
Time: 6:45 pm
We have obtained tickets to see the pantomime Cinderella with Keith Harris and Orville. Tickets cost £11.50 per person and payment must be given to Akela in a sealed envelope with the Cub's name and number of tickets required by Tuesday 13th November. Cheques need to be made payable to 1st Sarisbury Green Scout Group.
